The Man from Beijing, by Henning Mankell

Not a typical Henning Mankell story with his detective Wallander. Instead a jumbled tale going back hundreds of years involving Chinese laborers on US railroads and their Swedish overseer, plus modern day Chinese entrepeneurs and politicians, a Swedish judge and other characters. Not very satisfying, I give it a C.
